How did you find Oliva Social and select it over other locations as the venue for your event? What were you looking for in a venue?
Mostly through recommendations, we found one good vendor and it just flowed from there.
What was your plan of attack for the planning process? Budgets, making decisions, inviting guests?
We wanted a holiday, booked a cruise and worked backwards :P
True story - We decided that our trip should be our honeymoon and then decided to get married!
What was your vision for the day and how did you choose your style? Why was this important to you?
We new it would be winter, so we wanted something that would be comfortable. Beyond that, I really wanted something elegant and timeless, but with personality.
Why was including floral arrangements as part of your event important to you?
Flowers spark joy, and that really was at the core of all of the decisions we made. It was always going to be a big thing, the only design element really for the whole day. Meet Me At Mary’s is an incredible venue so we wanted to bring the best of that.
What led you to choose April & Fritz for your floral design?
A recommendation from our photographer Nick, and then after speaking with Bree it was a no-brainer.
Could you share some insights into your planning process for the floral design? How did April & Fritz assist you in bringing your vision to life?
I knew from the very first meeting that Bree was special. She made me feel comfortable and gently supported my few ideas to help curate a vision. I wanted to bring out the same colours from the venue but in particular, have little pops of blue from the bar at Meet Me At Mary’s. I am forever grateful.
In what ways do you feel the floral designs contributed to the overall atmosphere of your day?
Everything! They brought life, colour, fun, luxury and so much more. They made every moment feel like a real celebration. April & Fritz floral designs made our day something truly special.
Were there any specific moments or details related to the floral designs that stood out to you?
Gosh it is so hard to choose just one moment...
My bouquet. It was something else! A real vision, so abundantly full of beautiful flowers and foliage that worked in perfect harmony. And how it popped against Matt's button hole was just unreal!
I have to say that beyond the actual outcome, which was incredible, the level of professionalism from the first enquiry through to this survey is so impressive. It exceeds all other interactions and shows the true dedication and commitment to ensuring quality of not only product, but service as well.
Anything else you’d like to share?
Our experience with Bree and the whole team at April and Fritz was professional, supportive, inspiring and ultimately delivered on and exceeded our expectations. Bree is a true creative with a skill for really listening, inspiring and supporting a vision. The little touches from start to finish made our hearts sing that we had chosen the right floral designer to be on our team, and the end result just further cemented this. We can't thank the team enough for everything, you really made our day something special. It was honestly a dream and I will be screaming this recommendation from the rooftops!
